And the coat is finished!
Ta Da! And with a large square scarf that I have had for years but whose colours work so well with this coat: And now I see I really DO have to lose 10 pounds. At least.
Wow, all you guys are too kind! I do like the coat but I'm no model, that's for sure. You should see all the dorky pictures of me that I never let see the light of day. Ack! But don't worry, after so many years (i.e. more than 40) you get to accept how you look. :) Which doesn't mean I don't know when I do have to lose a few pounds. But this too shall happen.
Thanks ML and Heather. No back view yet, but I'll try to post something some time. However, it looks like the front, except for the buttons!
Heather, I haven't worn it outside yet so I don't know about the weather test. The reason I talked about losing 10 pounds was because I couldn't fit a sweater under it! And looking at the weather for the rest of the week, I am going to wear my "fur" coat so I'll have to report back later. But I will let you know.
Your coat looks gorgeous! What pattern did you use? I couldn not find your initial entry on this project. I am currently working on my first coat and am almost finished! Yours Looks beautiful! You can see mine at encue.blogspot.com Thanks!
