I hadn't thought of wearing them together - that's not a bad idea.

Good books like those don't often last long in a library but that's a good idea to look for them there. I may even ask for one for Christmas. I'm sure they are out there on the internet somewhere!JuliaRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10795348297295716491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18007802.post-71854133217065675042007-12-04T17:05:00.000-05:002007-12-04T17:05:00.000-05:00Julia, your skirt turned out nice, as usual. If so, maybe they could be worn together, with a shirt and wearing the coat unbuttoned.

Quite a few bloggers are sewing Chanel styled jackets at the moment. I love Claire Shaeffer's books too. There is another one, "High Fashion Sewing Secrets" which I refer to often. Maybe your Library has a copy to peruse. Someone else recommended her "Complete Book of Sewing Shortcuts" highly. I have a copy but haven't really 'read' into it. I remember the person saying they weren't 'shortcuts' at all but very good sewing tips. I also have both her Fabric Sewing Guides. Does that tell you that I like her books? LOL.

Cheers,
HeatherAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
